Cement basket protect weak formations or lost circulation zones from being damaged by hydro static pressure generated by cement column. These can be used in cased hole as well as open hole formations, for best results the basket should be allowed to travel on the joint of casing.

Cement Basket is an effective aid in retaining and supporting the cement where weak formations and stage cementing is encountered. It is designed with Flexible Bow Springs, heat-treated under controlled conditions for maximum strength and uniformity, are welded to slip-on collars and overlapping metal fins for flexibility and strength to support long columns of cement during primary cementing operations.

The cement basket can restrict the downward migration of cementing fluids. They are usually installed above lost circulation zones, under stage tools, or near surface when a top cementing job is planned.

Cement umbrella like an inverted handleless umbrella, which consists of canvas and a few pieces of spring composed of canvas made of funnel-shaped fixed in the spring, the cement umbrella is also made of steel sheet overlap.

Cement umbrella is an annex to cementing construction and is usually suitable for use in the backlash cement process and graded cementing to control the position of the cement section. Used to support the cement in the air, to prevent or reduce the loss of cement slurry, the type suitable for use within the casing and the use of naked eye, encountered irregular sections and shrink diameter section, you can freely stretch.

Slip On Canvas Cementing Basket

The Slip On Canvas Cementing Basket comprises of slip-on type high strength with flexible bows that are mounted on the end collar.

The cementing basket has ability to accommodate much larger than nominal hole sizes.

They are available in 4 ½” to 20” sizes and any kind of specific sizes.

With this type of design cementing basket can be rotated and reciprocated.

Bows are hardened and tempered for maximum strength and uniformity.

It is run on casing or liners above weak or porous formations to provide protection

from hydrostatic pressure generated by the cement column.

Its overlapping canvas/metal fins provide flexibility and fluid passages which maintaining optimum support characteristics.

The cementing basket can expand or contract as needed and can be rotated or reciprocated.

Hinged Cementing Basket

It is available in the size range 4-1/2 ” to 20”.

This device consists of flexible steel spring bows welded to Hinged collars.

Bows are hardened and tempered for maximum strength and uniformity.

It is run on casing or liners above weak or porous formations to provide protection from hydrostatic pressure generated by the cement column.
